How we helped The Home Depot Foundation reimagine its annual Celebration of Service campaign for veterans.

Business Challenge

Each year, The Home Depot Foundation surprises veterans with life-changing moments – from much-needed home renovations to improvements in veterans facilities. To better engage volunteers and media in the 2019 campaign, the Foundation enlisted Big Red Rooster. Our squad of creative thinkers got right to work – launching Operation Surprise to tell the story of honoring veterans in an exciting, new way.

Solution

We created Operation Surprise – giving The Home Depot Foundation a fresh way to communicate its annual Celebration of Service campaign. We developed all signature campaign elements including logo, exclusive Orange Camo pattern, ‘Surprise Supply’ crate, and custom campaign military Humvee. We also developed content for all campaign touchpoints, including print, video and social and supported several high-profile initiatives, from ESPN College Gameday to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
