Rheem needed to raise awareness and mobilize its employees around its new sustainability program and activate it globally.

Business Challenge

Rheem launched an aggressive sustainability initiative focusing on shifting the company’s mindset and implementing immediate actions to sustainable practices in under a year. In order to gain both compliance and commitment, Big Red Rooster crafted an earth-first platform that built on Rheem’s brand values and positioning.

Solution

We built a sustainability team comprised of internal Rheem employees, a Sustainability firm and the Big Red Rooster team to drive the development of a program from scratch. The goal was to define what sustainability means to the manufacturer while establishing immediate actions and long-term goals. We reviewed research and evolving data to produce tools and training for employee education, sustainable processes in product development and plant implementation. Created the identity for Rheem Sustainability while developing an internal/external campaign.

Implemented Zero Waste to Landfill initiatives across 9 global factories

Educated 10k+ employees across 50 global offices

Increased percentage of sustainable products and packaging to 70% of total offering

The Big Red Rooster team was instrumental in bringing our sustainability initiatives and goals to life in a meaningful way that would resonate with our multiple audiences. In order to meet our aggressive timeline, we had to move swiftly while keeping the overall strategy in mind and couldn’t have done that without our Big Red Rooster team.”
