A.R.E. names the Under Armour Chicago Brand House store of the year.

There’s only one thing more thrilling than seeing the work we do with our clients manifest into real, multidimensional spaces—and that’s seeing those spaces get recognized by one of the industry’s leading organizations.

We’re pleased to announce that the Under Armour Chicago Brand House has been named the Best Specialty Store Over 25,000 square feet and Store of the Year at this year’s A.R.E. Design Awards. We’re continually proud of our strong relationship with Under Armour, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to work on such a rewarding project.

“We thought through every detail and experience to tell our story in your own words.” says Tom Walsh, Under Armour’s Vice President of Global Store Development. “We considered the journey and each moment as the customer works through the store. We wanted to use the space to hit on all of the senses and help inspire athletes to get better and achieve their goals.”

“From a strategic store plan to a larger-than-life entrance to adrenaline-pumping interactive experiences, the UA Brand House was a huge project—both in scope and impact,” adds Big Red Rooster Executive Vice President and Managing Director Aaron Spiess. “We’re happy to see that work recognized, and we can’t wait to see where the brand goes next.”

As an A.R.E. winner, we’re definitely in good company as 75 awards were presented this year, honoring all aspects of retail store design, with winners representing eight countries.

At Big Red Rooster we believe in co-creation and the power of working in partnership with our clients. It is only by having such great clients that we are able to do our best work, and for that we are truly humbled and grateful.
