Innovative thinker who can inspire, lead and drive value-added solutions to our client’s needs as well as contribute with a point-of-view to business development opportunities.  Plan and develop strategic insights across the entire spectrum of offerings.  Thought leadership is essential as well as driving to consumer insights using a variety of approaches.  Thorough understanding of branding, marketing, research (qual + quant) and performance measurement/analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as thought leader on experience strategy, both internally and externally.  This includes having the credibility and experience to be the expert on brand positioning, brand architecture, brand activation, marketing strategy, and brand experience/customer journey mapping.
  • Mentor, develop and lead members of the strategy team with the goal of developing their individual growth through proactive coaching and training, as well as overall leadership for the team’s growth and development.
  • Utilize latest best practices and theories on brand strategy, research methodologies and ideation and be able to educate, persuade and apply them to enhance projects.
  • Deliver cutting-edge thinking, thought leadership, and solutions experience relative to quantitative, qualitative and decision-modeling techniques, methodologies and approaches.  Consistently demonstrate excellence in simplifying complex analytical problems or intuitive perceptions for both internal and external audiences.
  • Lead and manage strategic elements of projects. Collaboration with cross-functional team members, ensure that outcomes from strategic techniques are informing end deliverables.
  • Integration and collaboration with other BRR practices/offices and with JLL (both in terms of JLL projects as well as projects performed on behalf of JLL’s clients).
  • Review and guide all strategic work, providing perspective and guidance to other team members. Work closely with account management teams to ensure the strategy supports the business objectives. Collaborate with creative teams to inspire and motivate them to concept and bring to life ideas grounded in sound strategy.
  • Demonstrate expertise in presentation and persuasion skills in building and explaining the big picture, persuading both internal peers and external clients to believe in a strategic recommendation for account work and business development opportunities. Show an obvious expertise and affinity for building great solutions and an ability to energize others to get behind the cause.
  • Create processes and tools both in the context of a specific project as well as seeing big picture opportunities to continuously build our capabilities. Be flexible in bringing in new sources of inspiration. Recognize when processes can be improved upon.
  • Demonstrate the power of using both visual and verbal skills to convey a solution that will affect business performance.
  • Develop and support new business opportunities with the business development director and managing director.
  • Play a key role in building and maintaining a strong culture within the agency. Be a positive force for change. Encourage and contribute to diversity, positivity and inclusivity across the organization.

Required Qualifications and Qualities

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in consumer and brand strategy, consulting research and/or business strategy from a brand/marketing/consulting background
  • Strong portfolio with experience in consumer marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationship with all levels
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communications skills
  • Exceptional presentation skills, both in terms of developing content as well as presenting to senior clients
  • Ability to excel under pressure
  • Must have a critical eye for details
  • Strong follow-up and follow-through
  • Must have solid business/financial acumen
  • Ability and willingness to work in a hybrid environment (come into office 2-3 days a week)
