Responsibilities

• Synthesizing information from design briefs
• Forms a design point of view for all aspects of the project
• Creates concepts based on strategic insight
• Works with team members in developing the best space plan and visual merchandising options for effectiveness
• Partners with the architecture team
• Proved color and material specifications
• Develops initial concepts and executes through final design deliverable
• Presents to team and client

Required Qualifications and Qualities

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design
• Minimum of 8 years of commercial interior design projects
• Strong portfolio with experience in retail and restaurant design
• Working knowledge of consumer path of travel in environments
• Advanced experience in various space planning methodologies
• Working knowledge of furnishings and equipment
• Advanced knowledge of the range of design principles and aesthetics
• Advanced sketching and rendering skills
• Sketch up and AutoCad skills required
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationship with all levels
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Strong listening skills
• Ability to excel under pressure
• Must have a critical eye for details
• Strong follow up and follow through
